Description

An essential 90-minute workshop for employees at all levels, providing a clear and practical introduction to the FCA’s new Non-Financial Misconduct (NFM) rules.

This session explores the new rules, why they matter, and how they will affect individuals and firms across the financial services sector. We revisit the FCA’s existing Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety requirements. This will help staff understand how the new framework builds on current regulatory expectations.

Prevention is Better Than Cure: Step back from the day‑to‑day to assess how your firm’s culture supports
purpose and drives results.

  • What is Non-Financial Misconduct?
  • Why is it important?
  • When do the new rules take effect?
  • FCA Code of Conduct and Fitness & Propriety refresher
  • Who is responsible for meeting regulatory expectations?
  • How the rules may impact staff at all levels
  • Examples of behaviours (inside and outside the workplace) that may constitute Non-Financial Misconduct
  • Case studies

This session will help staff understand what Non-Financial Misconduct means, why it is being introduced and how the rules coming into effect on the 1st Sept 2026 affect them and their responsibilities.
