Random Act of Kindness (RAOK) Day on 17th February 2023
In our crazy, busy and scheduled worlds, we rarely take the time to slow down and reflect on how fortunate we are…
Random Act of Kindness (RAOK) Day on 17th February 2023 provides just that opportunity
This year we are collaborating as an Institute, and will have some volunteers, giving out bunches of daffodils to random people in Manchester
Our target is 1000 bunches.
This is just one way we are celebrating the day.
If you haven’t taken part in a RAOK day before it doesn’t take a lot of time or money; you don’t need to spend a penny!
Just a simple act of kindness can make a tremendous impact on a person’s life.
About RAOK day
This is an event that encourages the philosophy of “paying it forward”. The intent of this day is to perform and celebrate kind acts not only for others but for yourself and to reinforce the vision of building a better community.
There are so many things you can do and here are just a few examples: Buy someone a coffee, donate to charity, visit or phone someone who may be feeling lonely or is struggling, give things away (e.g. anything useful in your house that you don’t use anymore?), pay for someone’s parking, donate to a food bank etc..
You may want to do something individually, with your family or friends or as a team
