Samaritans and the Power of Listening – 31st August 2022 (12-1pm)

 

Active listening is one of the most useful tools to use especially in challenging conversations. In this presentation we will look at some of the listening challenges in your work and explore how active listening can help.

This session is useful for anyone dealing with staff, customers, team members, or even to help staff in their day to day lives. It is great as a booster/reminder of this important skill and these sessions are FREE. Some firms are using these sessions as part of their ongoing wellbeing strategy so book your staff on now.

It is ideal for any Vulnerable Customer Champions or anyone who has responsibility for operations, T&C, HR, sales, customer service (or any part of the customer journey) etc.

1) Find out about the Samaritans – who we are and what we do

2) Reflect on the listening challenges in your roles

3) Reflect on how to use active listening to meet those challenges

4) Find out about the Samaritans Listening Style

Bio

Robert Jackson is a volunteer at Manchester and Salford Samaritans. Robert was Branch Director for three years until Jan 21. Robert now leads the Workplace Outreach for the branch and is a member of the Prison Team who train and support prisoners to be Samaritans in Manchester Prison.
