Bitesize session: Product Governance for Distributers
It’s that time of the year again. All the work on product value and pricing has to take place again.
This is a practical session that covers the Product Governance rules that were enhanced a year ago. It is aimed at Insurance Distributors (not Manufacturers).
- Has your firm reviewed its Product Governance documentation since September 2022?
- Have it completed the required Value Assessments this year?

- Meeting the Consumer Duty outcomes 1 and 2
In this session we will explain how to use a Product Distribution Log, Value Assessment Record, and Pricing & Product Governance Policy to meet the requirements under PROD. This session is aimed at Distributors only.
At the end of this session, delegates will:
- Understand the main requirements of PROD 4.3.
- Discover how to complete and document Value Assessments.
- Understand which products the firm has a significant Value Assessment impact upon.
This sessions is ideal for not only Senior Managers, Executive Board Directors, Non-Executive Directors, Risk/Compliance staff to attend but we recommend them for those staff that are involved in any aspect of the process. For example product development and/or product strategy, marketing, underwriting, price setting, business development staff.
