Bitesize session – The FCA’s Dear CEO letter Personal and Commercial Lines

What do you need to do as a result of the recent FCA Dear CEO letter – Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance

The FCA have recently issued four Dear CEO Letters on various insurance portfolios.

The letters update CEO’s/firms on the FCA’s priorities for 2023-2025, outline the regulator’s concerns, and provide actions for firms.

We issued a bulletin to our clients last week on one of the letters, aimed at Personal and Commercial Lines Insurance.

In this session we will take a look at the content of this letter, explain our views on the FCA’s agenda, provide recommendations, and offer some practical tips on what firms should do. It will also be an opportunity for firms to ask us questions.

Who should attend

In addition to Insurance Brokers, this session will be useful to Principal firms, Appointed Representatives (‘ARs’), and Managing General Agents (‘MGAs’).

If you are one the following, you are encouraged to attend:

Senior Management Function holder (‘SMF’); Non-Executive Director (‘NED’); Director, Compliance staff, Risk staff, Consumer Duty/Vulnerability Champion and/or member of a project team, Training and development staff; or anyone who has responsibility for meeting the firm’s Compliance and Regulatory obligations.

The session will last for one hour.
