Part of the Mini Vulnerability Toolkit workshop series, an essential course, especially relevant for Frontline Staff and those dealing with customers on a day to day basis.

This is an essential course, especially relevant for Frontline Staff and those dealing with customers on a day to day basis. A practical, confidence building toolkit session with useful takeaways.

As the festive season approaches, financial pressures, debt, and emotional and phycological challenges may have an impact on the suicide rates. This one-hour session is aimed at to help staff support customers if they have to unfortunately handle a difficult call. The calls can be upsetting for all concerned.

Does your Staff Training Programme evidence staff have been trained in this?

Put simply… our response can make a difference between life and death.

It is important that staff are trained to identify and deal with customers who are vulnerable/potentially vulnerable. Helen Pettifer will share key insights of suicide in the UK, why businesses must be focusing on this and how to navigate conversations when a suicide is mentioned.

In this session we will look at:

  • Responding to a self-harm/suicide disclosure
  • Understanding the importance of escalating and sign posting
  • The skills required by staff – communication, empathy, listening skills, etc.

Please note:
Suicide can be a triggering and upsetting subject to talk about. It is important to remember that delegates attending this course may need an opportunity to quietly reflect or talk to someone they trust following the session. This is NOT a FIRST AID course.

Please note, this series of mini workshops will be delivered throughout 2024/25. Your staff can build up a fantastic portfolio of aids to use on a day to day basis as they attend our Mini Toolkit Workshops.
