ESG – in this session there will be a demonstration of a tool that can help firms action plan and demonstrate their progress

Some financial services firms do not know where to begin with starting or measuring their progress in this area. There is a lot of noise in the market about this , but there is no doubt this is only increasing and firms will have to take this seriously.

The FCA require large organisations to have made progress with ESG and in due course, smaller regulated businesses will also have to demonstrate it too.

There is no consistent method of measuring or reporting ESG performance and as a consequence, nobody knows where to start.

During this session we will have a brief update on ESG and what the FCA expects,  plus Ian will shine a light on where the sector currently sits and provide a demonstration of the Triple ESG platform which has been designed to help small businesses rate their ESG performance, plan future initiatives and measure progress over time.

It will help firms demonstrate their current status and work done in this area to key stakeholders. (e.g. Insurers, Investors, Third parties, etc)

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

• Better understand what ESG is and how it affects their sector
• Understand the implications for their organisations and begin to form a view of action they will need or to take in the coming months and years
• Understand where to access help and support to plan their ESG strategy and begin their journey

Presenter

Ian is co-founder of Valentis, an advisory business specialising in providing strategic support to organisations in the insurance, risk and claims management sector. Ian has spent more than 30 years in the insurance market working in broking during his early career with last 20 years in senior leadership roles at three of the UKs leading claims management businesses.
