On Friday 6th December 2024 in Manchester, we held our end of year Compliance Bash!

We had a great day with our clients examining the FCA hot topics in a unique way. We thought we would bring the naval theme into our day (and particularly the history and stories around the Titanic) to emphasise how many aspects of it relate to business.

We started our day with breakfast and networking and attendees were given tickets aboard the HMS Create. Captain Mike briefed the audience with their first activity. Delegates were sent into groups to discuss some relevant industry topics to get their thoughts, problems & challenges – Stewards then fed back, whilst being updated to/from a panel of experts (and guests) from Create.

The day also included an update on what’s happening in the industry, an interactive quiz, a session on Risk and Opportunities, Consumer Duty, Outcomes and Resilience. There were lots of prizes, interaction and also networking (approx. 80 attendees) from the market.

The feedback has been wonderful. Thanks to the team at Create for letting their creative juices flow and helping make the day a success… We had lots of fun planning the day too!

Ooh… You also missed our host Adrian Golifer dressed as a Captain and then in a Pirate outfit. (A sight you wouldn’t expect to see at a compliance event)!
